Will the stiffness of the top front legs flap impede the sweep shot? |
It is true that the flap area is different and stiffer. However, the Aero leg flap is much shorter than the flap of old style pads. During all the video work we did looking into this area we thought that the flap size and stiffness didn't seriously inhibit the execution of any of the sweep shots. Also correct execution of the sweep fine and orthodox shots do mean your hands should come from above and in front of the front leg protection anyway. For the slog sweep shot it is more likely that the top flap might come into contact with your bat or gloves but again this shot's technique is from a down - up direction and maybe over the flap. Feedback we have received so far has suggested that maybe that some small technical adjustments might have to be made.
